Cannibal by Benjamin Viré | Release in 2010

 

Max, An agoraphobic golf fan, leads a secluded life in the woods. While practicing, he stumbles on the body of an unconscious young woman covered with blood. He takes her home and takes care of her. He askes her no questions. .

But when she runs away in the middle of the night, he follows her and finds out that she seduces men and eats them alive while having sex with them.
Bewildered and fascinated, Max will start with her a relationship mixed with fear and tenderness.
Yet, he's not the only one who's interested in the young woman, though. When she's abducted and taken away from him. Max will have to face the urban violence of his gangster's past.

 

 
  



Nicolas Gob

Nicolas learned acting in Brussels. Since then, he has been performing in feature films and TV series : Les Bleus (M6, 2007), Un Village français (France 3, 2009), Un amour à taire (France 2, 2005) a feature film in which he plays Jérémie Rénier. This film gave him his second « Meilleur Espoir Masculin » award at the Luchon International TV Film Festival (he was awarded his first one for his performance in Procès de famille by Alain Tasma in 2004). In 2008, his performance in the TV serie Sa Raison d’être is awarded the male interpretation award in Luchon. Nicolas and Benjamin Viré have known each other for years. In 2003, Benjamin offers Nicolas the first role in his short film Waterloo. They have worked together since then.



Helena Coppejans

Helena was born in 1986 in Brussels. She graduated from the INSAS, a well-known Belgian school of cinema and acting. While studying, she acted in some short films but mainly performed on stage. Cannibal is her very first movie role.



Eric Godon and Jean Collard

Eric Godon was born in Belgium in 1959. He played many different and rewarding roles during his career. He worked namely with the French director Claude Miller (A secret) and performed in Martin McDonagh's film In Bruges with Colin Farrel and Ralph Fiennes. Eric Godon plays the Gipsy in Cannibal.

Philippe Nahon

Actor widely known, Philippe Nahon portrays Max's father in Cannibal. A true icon of French cinema, Philippe worked with the greatest directors during his 40 year career. He recently played in Irréversible (Gaspar Noé) and High Tension (Alexandre Aja).

Micky Molina

Miguel “Micky” Molina is a Spanish actor born in 1963. He played in several Pedro Almodovar's films (Law of desire, Entre Tinieblas). Very popular in Spain, Micky is coming from a family made of famous singers and actors. His dad, Antonio, is a Spanish legend and his sister, Angela, played in Almodovar's Broken Embraces.
